This problem is unfortunately rising and needs close attention from health care providers. About 7 people/day are killed by an intimate partner in the US. It has been established that at the present only 2% of cases are diagnosed by physicians. More attention is needed, to prevent and address this rising and costly health care problem as well as it's impact on human lives.
